The boat trip, as always, was a common theme amongst the “favorite part” but I was really happy to see so many kids reference DeepTech in the “what did you learn” question I asked. We came out last year from Indiana and attended the experience provided by you/Zephyr as a part of our Marine Biology Summer Class. I was hoping we might be able to attend again this year as it honestly was one of the best parts of our experience. The experience was the favorite of the majority of students. Not only did students learn and have fun, one of our students applied to University of Chicago as a result and will be attending this fall thanks to the glimpse of the MBL. Another student is looking into programs in the Great Lakes Region with the fisheries programs to work on the boats after talking to interns helping out and seeing that there are more opportunities in the Marine realm than they realized.
