As you might be able to tell, things have been pretty slow this winter, as usual. We often take our AR Sandboxes (Topographic Modeling Systems) to classrooms, and judge at various Science Fairs on the Cape. We are pleased once again to receive grants from the island Foundation, Cape Cod Five Charitable Foundation Trust and donations from other supporters. We are also looking forward to additional funding from the Vertex Foundation to continue our fanastically successful Boston “Science at Sea Program”.
As always we appreciate our relationship with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, allowing us to use their dock and the aquarium tank room in Redfield Laboratory.
The spring season is starting to heat up, with a lot of bookings already made for trips beginning in April. If you’re interested in booking a trip for your class, please contact me, the sooner the better, at rreynolds@zephyrmarine.org
Finally we’d like to make a shout-out to our friends at “The Clam Man”, the great seafood market in Falmouth. We get food for our marine specimens from the Clam Man throughout the year and appreciate their support.
